William Palmer
Candidate for New Hampshire House District 2 Representing Plainfield and Cornish
I have been a doctor in the Upper Valley since 1990. I am running because I am deeply concerned about lack of access to reproductive healthcare, mental healthcare and general healthcare in our state. I am also very concerned about the influence of climate change on health. As the former Governor of the New Hampshire Chapter of the American College of Physicians I have been advocating for access to healthcare for all patients at both the state and national level for over 15 years.
I was Chairman of the Cornish School Board for 5 years and believe that we must properly fund public education to ensure that our children are able to succeed in an increasingly competitive world. High quality public education is also crucial to fulfill New Hampshire’s need for skilled workers and to create a strong economy that provides for all. New Hampshire must also significantly improve the supply of affordable housing if we are to recruit and retain workers.
We must work together to strengthen our democracy by ensuring voting rights for all eligible citizens.
