John Cloutier is a Claremont native, who is graduate of Stevens High School as well as Keene State College. He is now running for one of three House seats in the new Sullivan County District #6, which is comprised of Claremont & Croydon. First elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives in 1992, Rep. Cloutier is now serving his 15th consecutive term. He has been a member of the House Public Works & Highways Committee, for all but one of these terms, and served as Committee Chair between 2018-2020. Currently, he is serving his fifth non-consecutive term as Sullivan County Delegation Chair. In addition to being a state representative, he makes his living as a private security officer as well as substitute teacher in the Claremont School District.
